From the moment I walked through the door, the team have supported me. I know I can ask for help and never feel bad about doing so. The hub and spoke model is one of the best things about Medivet. I can access some really cool diagnostic tools, like endoscopy and ultrasonography, without having to buy it myself. I also rest easy knowing that I have the trust of my colleagues to help me care for my patients when they are in hospital, particularly overnight, or when I am not working. Freedom is great. It enables me to keep track of my patients at my own practice, but also when they are in hospital at the local 24-hour centre. It’s very easy to use. I am a partner here at Medivet, and whilst I run my own practice, the major benefit is having a support team who are able to deal with the non-veterinary details behind the scenes, like organising holiday cover, or fixing IT errors. This way, I get to focus on what I do best – being a vet!

There’s a real family feeling here at Medivet; We laugh together, we cry together, but most importantly, we support one another. There’s a really good support network and you know there’s always someone you can call for a second opinion; everyone has something to bring to the table. We have access to patients’ files across the whole group. It can be reviewed regularly and adaptions can be made for ease of use, but we also receive messages and reminders through the system to keep us up-to-date. I have been with Medivet for 13 years and in this time, I have been a floating nurse, a student nurse, and a head nurse. I’m now a senior nurse acting as a ward manager and emergency and critical care nurse, as well as an in-house lecturer. I have colleagues who were nursing but have moved into support roles, such as an area manager or in marketing. The opportunities at Medivet are endless!
