Lead Veterinary Surgeon - Billinge, Lancashire

We began in 1987 with one man’s dream to offer the highest standard of veterinary care – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Nearly 30 years have passed and now, with over 160 practices and more than 300 vets, we’ve grown to share the Medivet values of everyday exceptional care, trust and progress to the discerning pet owner across the UK.

Our mission is a very simple one: by treating clients, their pets, and our colleagues like family, we aim to deliver amazing care in order to become the nation’s favourite vet and leave everyone feeling supported.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon, ideally with three to four years’ UK experience, to lead our small and friendly team in Billinge, which currently consists of a vet, a nurse, and a receptionist.

The perfect candidate will be a good general practioner with excellent communication skills. We’re looking for a confident vet to help develop this practice further and really put their stamp on this clinic to make it a real success.

As an Investors in People organisation, we really support and encourage career progression, so there will be an opportunity for the right candidate to become a practice partner.

Your role:

You’ll be based close to the pretty village of Billinge, Lancashire. The position is full-time and permanent, working four and half days a week from 9am to 7pm, plus one in three weekends (days only).

The practice is equipped with one consult rooms, a theatre, radiography, with even more excellent facilities available at our Medivet 24-hour centre in Alder.

Benefits package:

• A very competitive salary
• Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance
